Spring Ideas

These beautiful candies got me inspired about decorating Easter eggs. I want to try painting quail eggs (or chicken eggs would work fine too) with nail polish. I think the nail polish would make vibrant colors, that aren't necessarily typical of Easter eggs. If I don't get around to doing this, and someone else does, please send me a picture so that I can post it on the blog Eggs

Birthday Breakfast

I wanted to share with you my beautiful birthday breakfast from February 1st....Mark (my guy and the web everything guy for PlumParty.com...made this awesome spread (homemade Bergamot tea, fig jam, Italian butter, fresh tiny baguettes, fruit & yogurt inside a carved out pineapple, orchids and candles....) Thanks

Hi Everyone:

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone that has written into our blog forum. It’s so nice to hear how your parties (or gifts) turned out. Please forgive us for not responding and for not updating our blog sooner....we promise to be better. Our only excuse is that we have been busy updating the site, getting the sale products together and adding lots more fun, imaginative and exciting items. Another exciting thing we have been working on is Plumparty.tv, our new video blog that will show Melinda and Risa doing a variety of fun and cool things as well as field reports from all over showing you places, people and things that inspire us. Please check back, and keep letting us know what you like and don’t like (we can take it and will try to do better)....also send pictures that we can post on the blog.

Hope to hear from you soon...

How to make your own party crackers

I just checked out the notmartha.org web site and she has some great ideas. In her entry (click below)

http://www.notmartha.org/tomake/partycracker.html

She shows you step by step how to make your very own party crackers (she even mentions Plum Party in her copy, what a coincidence!). Anyway, if you get inspired give it a try, otherwise, we sell them on the site too! I just thought of a cute spring themed party cracker idea....why not fill them with seeds to plant tulips....might be a cute idea?

Bad bridal shower favors

Ever go to a bridal shower and get the saddest of favors? I recently went to one where they handed out dish soap samples, can you imagine! Anyway, here is a cute, inexpensive, yet thoughtful way to make a special favor that your friends will appreciate.

Purchase these colorful organza bags (set of 6 are $8.00), so if you buy 2 sets you are out $16.00, then fill each bag with a small amount of assorted rose petals ($10.00), so your total expense is about $28.00 for 12 special gifts that your friends will use and remember you by when they are going through their underwear drawer!
